Guidr Hires New Chief Technology Officer
NAPLES, FL — Guidr® welcomes Andrew Beacock as our Chief Technology Officer. For over 25 years, Andrew has been a noteworthy leader in technology and software development including leading development teams, line-managing squads, and solving countless business complications using his technical knowledge.
Andrew can also be credited with his contributions to building telecoms carrier-grade resilient server-side mobile solutions, and has over a decade of experience building secure, fast, scalable web applications for the financial industry. Prior to joining Guidr, he was Head of Engineering for a PropTech scale-up. He excels at building relationships and explaining complex technical jargon to non-technical audiences. Andrew has made using analogies to aid understanding an art form. A previous colleague described Andrew as, “one of the most professional, intelligent, and kindhearted people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. He always strives to do what’s right for the business but more importantly shows amazing compassion and support for his colleagues.” We are honored to have him leading our Guidr technology team.
Andrew is an advocate for unit testing and has followed waterfall, agile, and everything in between. He has been coding Java since it was born back in 1996 but is experienced in other languages as well.
Andrew graduated from The University of Manchester in 1995 with a degree in Electronic Engineering and he currently resides in Ormskirk, England. When he is not talking tech, Andrew can be found building guitar effect pedals or judging regional and national beer competitions across the UK.
